Onix raises $5m pre-seed for expert-owned AI
Alpha Edison led the round, reported as $5m USD or $7m CAD.
Ride Home Fund, Jeremy Zimmer, JS Cournoyer and Garage Capital also participated.
At the financing announcement, Onix planned platform development, expert onboarding, research and evaluation toward public availability.
The work centers on private AI systems built from licensed expert knowledge, with experts governing use of their intellectual property. These plans describe the financing’s development stage rather than the later availability of the iOS app.
