Notes.fm raises $5m to develop platform and expand marketing
Musicians, managers and music businesses backed the financing for Notes.fm’s distribution and royalty service.
Named backers include Benny Blanco, Zach Bryan, Tainy, Blake Slatkin, Matt Quinn, Ari Emanuel and Julie Greenwald, alongside management and music companies including Foundations, Mick Management, Triple 8, Mexican Summer and Breakaway.
The company plans continued platform development and global marketing growth. Its flat-subscription service combines distribution, publishing administration and royalty collection without taking a share of artists’ royalties.
