Nix Biosensors closes $10m Series A, bringing funding to $17m
The wearable sensor tracks fluid and electrolyte loss, with dashboards for teams and organizations.
Named backers include Shorewind Capital, Great Oaks Venture Capital, White Road Investments, Anne Wojcicki and Len Blavatnik.
Nix plans to expand markets and scale its licensable Nix Health algorithm. It will also explore additional biomarkers detectable in sweat, extending research beyond its current hydration use.
The consumer biosensor is available, while Nix Health is in beta. Those product stages distinguish the operating hydration service from future biomarker applications.
