Kita raised $4.5 million in seed financing on August 24, led by BoxGroup. Participants included Apex Star Capital, BEENEXT, Genting Ventures, Golden Gate Ventures, Kaya Founders, Y Combinator and Kulveer Taggar.

The financing supports expansion of document-processing and credit-assessment infrastructure for lenders in emerging markets.
