Hyperlayer raises £19.5m Series A2 for bank modernisation
Flintlock Capital led the follow-on round as Hyperlayer expands its banking-software teams and international activity.
Hyperlayer announced a £19.5 million Series A2 investment on 21 October 2026, led by existing backer Flintlock Capital. Mouro Capital and Susquehanna Private Equity Investments also participated, alongside other returning and new investors.
The London banking-software company will use the funding to expand product, engineering and implementation teams and support growth across the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Its technology lets financial institutions introduce services while keeping existing core systems in place.
The investment values Hyperlayer at £195 million post-money and brings financing raised since October 2025 to nearly £50 million. Flintlock co-founder Joe Shamess will join its board. Founded in 2023 by Rob Rooney and Paul Rolles, Hyperlayer also provides the technology behind the UK consumer app Hyperjar.
