Hyperbolic raises $12 million Series A led by Variant and Polychain
The December 2024 round brought Hyperbolic’s total funding to $20 million for its GPU marketplace and inference services.
Hyperbolic closed a $12 million Series A on December 10, 2024, led by Variant and Polychain Capital. The round brought its total funding to $20 million and supported plans to expand engineering, go-to-market and strategic teams.
Other institutional backers included Chapter One, Lightspeed Faction, Bankless Ventures, IOSG, Vertex, GSR, Wintermute Ventures, Blockchain Builders Fund, Alumni Ventures and Ambush. Individual investors also participated.
At the time, Hyperbolic was developing a marketplace that connected suppliers of GPU capacity with AI developers, alongside serverless inference services for open-source models. The new financing gave the company resources to expand these services and the team taking them to market.
