General Medicine raises $120m Series B led by Andreessen Horowitz

The financing will add categories to its healthcare store, which lists more than 2,900 services and products.

General Medicine raised $120 million in Series B financing led by Andreessen Horowitz on October 6. Matrix, VXI Capital, Eli Lilly and Company, Mercy Health and BoxGroup participated.

The financing will expand the healthcare store into additional categories of care.

The company has assembled a catalogue of more than 2,900 services and products. Its underlying system reconciles the different names that clinicians, insurers and laboratories use for the same service, making meaningful comparisons possible.

Health history follows customers between shopping and consultations, reducing the need to reconstruct their case at each step. Licensed clinicians retain responsibility for decisions requiring clinical review.
