Gatik raises $200m Series D for driverless freight
Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies co-lead the financing.
Gatik raised $200 million in Series D financing on August 25. Participants included Qatar Investment Authority, Koch Disruptive Technologies, Millennium Management, ARK Invest, Intact Private Capital and Arca Continental. The company operates driverless trucks for regional freight between distribution centers and stores.
The funding follows an expanded commercial relationship with PepsiCo. Gatik’s focus on frequent distribution routes gives the business a defined operating setting as autonomous freight moves into customer supply chains.
Use of funds
Expand driverless regional freight operations and meet demand from retailers, grocers and consumer-goods suppliers.
