Bain Capital leads $300m financing for Beeline’s immunology portfolio
The company began with five licensed Bristol Myers Squibb programs and backing from Bain Capital and CPP Investments.
Bristol Myers Squibb and Bain Capital announced a new immunology company on July 28, 2025, with a $300 million financing commitment led by Bain Capital. Canada Pension Plan Investment Board also joined the investment. The business was subsequently introduced as Beeline Medicines.
The company licensed five investigational programs from Bristol Myers Squibb, including afimetoran for lupus and a TYK2 inhibitor. BMS retained a nearly 20% equity stake and rights to royalties and development milestones.
Beeline’s April 2026 debut confirmed that its Series A had closed in July 2025. The financing supports a dedicated team advancing the licensed portfolio through clinical development.
