Astranis announces $450M financing for high-orbit spacecraft
Astranis announced $450 million in financing in May as it sought to meet demand for advanced high-orbit spacecraft.
Backers named in connection with the financing include Snowpoint Ventures, Franklin Templeton, Andreessen Horowitz, BlackRock, Baillie Gifford, Fidelity, BAM Elevate, Nimble Partners, Friends & Family Capital and Trinity Capital.
The company builds small geostationary communications satellites. The financing supports its spacecraft business as demand for high-orbit capacity grows.
