ARCYN Defense closes initial seed financing for air-defense development
The company announced its seed close alongside a management team and advisory board as it prepared an early defense-system prototype for demonstrations.
ARCYN, formerly Marteos Industries, did not disclose the amount raised or name investors in the announcement. The financing supports development of an air-defense platform combining sensing, edge AI and kinetic technology.
The company named Aaron Poynton chief executive, Fazel Farahmand chief technology officer and Lou Schiliro head of operations. Its prototype was still under development and being prepared for demonstrations. This initial close is separate from the second seed fundraising opened in June.
