Apollo Atomics raises $31M seed round led by FCVC
The MIT spinout will use the seed financing to develop its factory-built reactor programme and advance demonstration and regulatory work.
FCVC led the financing, with participation from Y Combinator, Telesoft Partners, Alumni Ventures, Nucleation Capital and other investors. The company is using established pressurized-water-reactor technology as the basis for a smaller, repeatable manufacturing model.
Its announced programme includes an A-1 commercial demonstrator and larger reactor designs. Development still involves engineering, demonstration and regulatory milestones: the company planned to seek fuel-configuration authorization by the end of 2026. It also reported nonbinding letters of intent for 20 GW, a measure of customer interest rather than completed reactor sales.
