Apeiron Labs closes $9.5M Series A for ocean-data network

S2G Investments, RA Capital’s Planetary Health Fund and DYNE Ventures co-led the financing to expand Apeiron’s autonomous ocean-data operations.

Assembly Ventures, TFX Capital and Bay Bridge Ventures also participated. Founded in 2022 with backing from Applied Invention and S2G, Apeiron entered this round with multiple U.S. government contracts for its ocean-intelligence capabilities.

The company plans to add technical and commercial staff, expand deployments of its autonomous underwater vehicles and develop the data platform that turns their measurements into customer services. The financing therefore supports a larger collection network as well as delivery of the resulting data.
