Anterior closes $40 million financing to expand health-plan AI deployments
New investors FPV and Kinnevik join NEA and Sequoia as Anterior’s total funding reaches $64 million.
New capital alongside returning investors
Anterior announced a $40 million financing on February 12, bringing its total funding to $64 million. Returning investors NEA and Sequoia Capital participated alongside new investors FPV and Kinnevik. The company did not disclose a named stage or lead investor.
Scaling production use and implementation capacity
The financing follows Anterior’s $20 million Series A in June 2024. Since then, the company expanded production deployments, including at Geisinger Health Plan, and integrated with HealthEdge’s GuidingCare platform. It reported supporting organizations covering 50 million lives; that figure describes those organizations’ coverage.
Proceeds will support additional production deployments, clinical and operational use cases, and ecosystem integrations. Anterior also announced healthcare advisors David Shulkin, Peter Long and William Golden as it builds enterprise governance and health-plan expertise.
