ANRis raises about ¥220 million from Waseda University Ventures and JST
The financing supports preclinical cancer-drug work, delivery-system optimization and expansion of ANRis’s research and partnership capacity.
Two research-focused backers
ANRis announced approximately ¥220 million in financing on September 7 from Waseda University Ventures and the Japan Science and Technology Agency. JST’s involvement is through SUCCESS, its program combining investment with support for companies commercializing research.
Building the drug-development program
The company will direct funding toward drug candidates and preclinical studies for KRAS-mutant cancers, delivery and formulation work, recruitment, and collaboration with research organizations and contract research providers. It also plans to strengthen intellectual property and pharmaceutical partnerships.
Founded in 2023, ANRis builds on university research behind its mutation-selective SNPD-siRNA platform. Its foundational patents have been obtained in Japan and the United States.
