ALSO raises $150m Series D for autonomous small vehicles

The financing extends its shared electric-vehicle platform beyond bikes and delivery quads as initial consumer bikes reach customers.

One architecture, more vehicle formats

ALSO plans to adapt the electric architecture behind its TM-B bicycle and TM-Q commercial quad for autonomous vehicles carrying people and goods. Reusing that foundation connects the new development programme to products already in its line-up.

The round follows a $200m Series C and a multiyear agreement with DoorDash to develop autonomous delivery vehicles. At the August announcement, ALSO said its TM-B Launch Edition had begun shipping in the US, with initial Performance and Standard deliveries planned for the autumn.

Use of funds

Develop the autonomous vehicle platform and multiple vehicle formats for urban passenger and goods transport.
