Alithea Genomics adds CHF 3m to close its seed round
The additional financing brings the seed total to CHF 6.9m and accompanies a chief executive transition and expansion of RNA-sequencing products.
A further close and a leadership transition
The new CHF 3 million was led by Genku Ventures, with Novalis Biotech, Zürcher Kantonalbank and private investors participating. The disclosed CHF 6.9 million is the total seed round after this additional close.
Chairman Frederik Decouttere will become chief executive, while co-founder Riccardo Dainese moves from CEO to chief commercial officer; Kaspar Binz takes over as chairman. The changes accompany commercialisation of 1,536-well MERCURIUS DRUG-seq kits for screening and exploratory toxicology. Alithea also plans to develop new technology and transcriptomic datasets, linking the capital and leadership changes to a broader commercial push.
