Aitiologic closes €6.4m seed for clinical validation of preeclampsia risk testing

Heal Capital and Ananda Impact Ventures co-led Aitiologic’s €6.4 million seed round, with PUSH VC, LANA Ventures and Gordon Sanghera participating.
Its Aitios platform analyzes cell-free DNA from blood to identify tissue-specific changes. The lead program aims to assess preeclampsia risk using the first-trimester sample already collected for prenatal testing. Funding supports regulated product development and a validation study involving more than 1,000 pregnancies with the Fetal Medicine Foundation. Rebecca Ertl joins as chief medical officer, and Sanghera joins the advisory board.
