Airway Therapeutics closes $24m Series E-2, bringing E financing to $50m
The new equity follows $26m previously raised through a SAFE and funds late-stage development of zelpultide alfa.
Financing context
The August 25 announcement combines the earlier SAFE financing with the Series E-2 close. Existing shareholders accounted for 94% participation, including Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and family offices.
Proceeds primarily support completion of the Phase 2b portion of the ongoing trial and associated manufacturing, controls and analytical work. The company expected the interim analysis by the end of the second quarter of 2027; the announcement did not report those future results.
