Accro Bioscience raises $50m Series C led by OrbiMed
The financing backs a Phase IIb ulcerative-colitis trial and development of additional immune-disease candidates.
Capital for the next clinical stage
OrbiMed led Accro Bioscience’s $50m Series C, joined by TCGX, LAV, Cenova Capital and existing investors Shenzhen Capital Group and Oriza Holdings.
Proceeds will fund the Phase IIb trial of AC-101 and other pipeline candidates. At the announcement, AC-101 had completed healthy-volunteer studies in Australia and China and a patient proof-of-concept study in China. FDA clearance allowed a US Phase II trial; it was not a marketing approval.
