Structural timber systems for construction and mass-timber manufacturers, using computationally designed wood composites to make long-span building panels lighter and lower-carbon than concrete.

Structural slabs made from engineered wood composites

Strong by Form develops Woodflow, a family of high-performance timber composites. Woodflow-core is a prefabricated structural slab designed for long spans in buildings: computational design arranges wood fibres to carry loads, aiming to match reinforced concrete performance with much lower weight and material use. It is being prepared for certification and commercial deployment, with a pilot plant planned in Spain. The company also offers Woodflow-skin architectural surfaces, already sold in several markets.

The workflow serves construction companies and mass-timber manufacturers that need structural components for projects where conventional timber spans or concrete’s weight and emissions are constraints. Factory-made panels are designed for efficient installation on site; the company says its system can reduce installation time and material use.
