Battery control built into silicon
Overlord Labs develops GENESIS, a battery-intelligence chip platform for device manufacturers. Its architecture combines semiconductor circuitry with battery algorithms to manage runtime, safety and performance in small devices where computing demand competes with limited battery capacity.
The first device targets single-cell systems, including wearables and smart glasses, and is designed to support different battery chemistries. As of September 2026, the company had working silicon and was moving through validation toward customer sampling, with volume production targeted for the first half of 2027.
