Octave.energy

Belgium · Climate tech · Industrial tech

Octave.energy supplies battery energy storage systems paired with its proprietary energy-management software to businesses from SMEs to industrial operators. The batteries store power on site while the EMS coordinates solar self-consumption, peak reduction, EV charging and market flexibility, helping customers manage costs and constrained grid connections.

How it works

Octave installs battery systems at customer sites and connects them to its proprietary energy-management system. The software monitors available assets and energy conditions, then schedules storage and consumption to increase use of on-site solar, reduce peak demand, manage electric-vehicle charging, make more capacity available where grid connections are constrained and participate in energy-market flexibility.

The company supports deployment and ongoing asset management, including monitoring battery performance over its lifetime. Its model serves sites from smaller businesses to larger industrial customers and can scale through local installation partners.

Customers and maturity

Businesses with significant electricity use, on-site generation, EV charging or limited grid capacity use Octave to integrate storage and energy control. By September 2026, the company reported more than 200 MWh of installed systems and over 400 business customers, including Colruyt Group, McDonald’s, Eneco, Naturgy and Nextensa. It also reported three consecutive profitable years and €16 million revenue in 2025.
