LuxSilicon

China · Hardware

LuxSilicon designs silicon-photonics chips and optical engines that connect computing hardware in data centres and high-performance computing systems.

Optical links for computing

LuxSilicon develops the silicon-photonic and electronic components needed to move data between computing devices using light. Its work includes optical I/O chips, optical engines and driver and receiver circuitry for data-centre interconnects.

The company works with chip and system developers on co-packaged optics, which integrate optical and electronic components closely together. Partner Muchuang uses LuxSilicon's photonic engine and packaging technology in a jointly developed CPO SmartNIC, bringing the optical link into the network-card design.
