Develops biomass electrolysis to produce hydrogen and biogenic carbon dioxide from agricultural, forestry and industrial residues.

Product

Ki 13 uses a catalyst in a mildly heated solution to break biomass residues into biogenic carbon dioxide and hydrogen ions. An electrolyzer regenerates the catalyst while producing hydrogen with renewable electricity.

The intended customers include synthetic-fuel producers that need both hydrogen and carbon dioxide for aviation fuel, e-methanol or e-methane. Ki 13 is developing an industrial pilot in West London, designed for five tonnes of hydrogen annually and targeting TRL 6 in 2027.

The company reports commercial letters of intent and biomass supply agreements. It remains at pilot-demonstration stage.
