ImVisionLabs develops 3D point-cloud and image-analysis technology for forestry, agriculture, infrastructure inspection and autonomous-driving maps.

Spatial data for field work

ImVisionLabs helps organisations turn laser scans and images into usable spatial information. The University of Tokyo spinout carries out research and development for forestry, agriculture, infrastructure management and autonomous-driving maps, including tree analysis, object classification and the extraction of terrain from 3D point clouds.

From measurements to operational models

Its work connects captured data with the structures a customer needs to inspect or manage. Published examples include classifying roads and poles from vehicle-mounted LiDAR, analysing power-line clearance and creating models of stone walls. The company works on commissioned development as well as research into more general spatial-recognition methods.
