EnginZyme immobilizes enzymes on a proprietary solid support to create stable biocatalysts for multi-step reactions. Its cell-free platform can run continuously in fixed-bed reactors, giving manufacturers a way to produce chemicals and ingredients with biological catalysts using familiar industrial equipment.
The company combines enzyme engineering, biocatalysis, automation and process engineering to develop manufacturing routes for personal care, food, pharmaceuticals and chemicals. It works with manufacturers from feasibility studies through process design and commercial scale-up.
