Selective gene regulation for neurological disease
Encoded engineers gene therapies to target specific cell types and regulate disease-relevant genes. Its lead candidate, ETX101, is designed to increase SCN1A expression in inhibitory neurons, addressing the underlying gene insufficiency associated with SCN1A-positive Dravet syndrome rather than only managing seizures symptom by symptom.
