DoD Solution builds onboard computing hardware and autonomy software that help unmanned vehicles navigate and carry out missions when GPS or remote control is limited.
Compute and autonomy on the vehicle
DoD Solution’s AURA platform combines onboard computing hardware, an SDK and autonomy software for unmanned systems. The official site describes capabilities including visual navigation in GPS-denied conditions, terminal guidance in the final phase of flight, mission planning and execution, and integration of cameras and electro-optical/infrared sensors. Integrators can connect communications and their own autonomy software through the open platform.
Built for system integrators and field deployment
The product is aimed at UAV and unmanned-system manufacturers and integrators that need to add onboard AI without assembling a stack from separate compute boards and software components. DoD Solution says the hardware and software have been built and validated with Ukrainian unmanned-systems teams. The company’s current site describes AURA as a deployable platform; it is not simply a software development kit for training.
