Cloud9 helps African entrepreneurs, freelancers and businesses receive international payments, hold different currencies and pay suppliers abroad. Its mobile app connects virtual accounts, currency conversion and local withdrawals, including cash-outs to mobile money.
The fintech uses stablecoins as a settlement layer behind cross-border transfers. Business customers can also manage payroll, bulk payments and team approvals. Banking services are provided through Choice Microfinance Bank, while Cloud9 supplies the financial technology and customer interface.
