Base Power builds and operates home batteries that supply backup electricity and help balance the power grid.
Product and business model
Base designs, manufactures, installs and maintains its Core batteries. Each unit stores 39.2 kWh and automatically supplies the home when grid power fails.
During normal operation, the battery fleet helps meet peak electricity demand. That grid-service revenue supports the household offering, combining local backup with a distributed energy resource. Availability and plans depend on the homeowner’s address and utility.
